T. gigas (Linneaus, 1758) is one of Tridacna genus found in Raja Ampat coastal area. This species include in the Red List Species. It reach 140 cm with weight reach 200 kg. Besides Raja Ampat, T. gigas distributed in Indo-Pasific such as South China Sea to Australia, around West Nicobar Islands to Fiji.
