T. maxima (Roding, 1798)is one of clams that found in waters area of Raja Ampat. This species classified as small clam, has coat color of blue, green or chocolate. This species has symbiosis with photosynthesis alga, therefore prefer coral surface to live on. Size of the shell is reaching 35 cm. Aside from Raja Ampat, T. maxima also distributed in coastal surround Australia, Asia Tenggara, East Africa, India and China.
