Hippopus-hippopus (Linneaus, 1758) is another species of sea cucumbers found in waters of Raja Ampat. This species is differrent from Tridacna genus on its narrower and closed byssal orifis with tight teeth. Besides that, its coat covers the whole shell. Shell of this species reach 40 cm. Aside from Indonesia, H. hippopus distributed in Filipina, New Caledonia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Somalia, Tonga, Vanuatu, Komoros, Fiji, India, Japan, Kiribati, Malaysia and Australia.
